Sharing with an individual person

You can share with any individual who is a member of your groups or any person you have added as a contact.

To share with a contact:

  1. Navigate to the sharing page.
  2. Expand the “Contacts” area.
  3. Click on the name of the person or people you would like to share with, and then click “Continue” (located at the bottom of the page). This will open a dialog with more choices.
  4. Select the level of access you want your participants to have:
  • View: Participants can play this VoiceThread, but they cannot post comments
  • Comment: Participants can post comments on this VoiceThread
  • Edit: Participants can make any changes to the VoiceThread that you can, including altering or deleting content already there.
  • Revoke access: Removes any access granted previously. This option will not be available if the VoiceThread isn’t yet shared with the selected person or people.
  1. If you want the person/people to be notified via email once you’ve shared, check the box labeled “Notify by email when first shared”.
  2. Click “Save”. You will receive a confirmation announcement.

To share with a single member of a group:

  1. Navigate to the sharing page.
  2. Expand the “Groups” area.
  3. Click on the “Members” option beneath the title of the group that contains this person.
  4. Click on the name of the person or people you would like to share with, and then click “Continue” (located at the bottom of the page). This will open a dialog with more choices.
  5. Select the level of access you want your participants to have:
  • View: Participants can play this VoiceThread, but they cannot post comments
  • Comment: Participants can post comments on this VoiceThread
  • Edit: Participants can make any changes to the VoiceThread that you can, including altering or deleting content already there.
  • Revoke access: Removes any access granted previously. This option will not be available if the VoiceThread isn’t yet shared with the selected person or people.
